This resource was created in the hopes of helping married couples pause amid the busyness of life in order to turn toward one another in an exchange of time and attention. The name Among the Pots and Pans is inspired by the great wisdom of St. Teresa of Avila who declared, "God walks among the pots and the pans." We picked this name because this is what we know to be true: God shows up, again and again, in the ordinary life of our everyday marriages. 


It is intentionally simple and brief so that couples can more easily pause and integrate love and intention in the everyday. We imagine it living on top of the fridge or in between stacks of bills and permission slips. It is our sincere hope and prayer that Among the Pots and Pans plays even the tiniest role in the nourishment and nurturing of your marriage.

Please note: Among the Pots and Pans is written from a Catholic perspective and is in line with all the Church holds to be true regarding the Sacrament of Marriage. We took special care to try to to keep in mind and heart couples who may not both be Catholic and write in such a way to (hopefully) be approachable.
